DESCRIPTION:It’s Time We Talk: A Community Conversation\nThe London Black Heritage Council\, Type Diabeat It\, FilAfrik Inc.\, and the Nigerian Association of London and Area are coming together to create a space for Black residents across London and Middlesex to speak openly about the issues affecting our communities. \nThis is not a presentation or conference – it is a community conversation focused on hearing directly from community members about their lived experiences\, where services and systems are falling short\, what is working\, and what priorities require greater attention and action. \nThe conversation will explore issues including housing and homelessness\, addiction and substance use\, mental health\, healthcare access\, food insecurity\, community safety\, racism\, and other gaps impacting Black communities. \nThe conversation also connects to the City of London’s 2025-2029 Anti-Black Racism Action Plan\, which includes a commitment to an annual City-led community conversation focused on the needs and priorities of Black commuities. \nDate: Tuesday\, October 13\, 2026 \nTime: 5:30-7:00pm \nLocation: To be Determined \nCost: Free – Registration Required \nEventbrite Registration \nBlack residents across London and Middlesex are encouraged to attend\, share their experiences and perspectives\, and help identify priorities for our community. \nOur voices belong in the room. DESCRIPTION:The Lewis Coray Connections Event returns for its second year\, bringing together Black youth and young adults with Black professionals from London and the surrounding area for a day of career exploration\, networking\, leadership development\, and community connection. \nParticipants will have the opportunity to hear from Black professionals\, explore different career pathways\, build connections\, and participate in interactive workshops. \nEvent Details \nDate: Friday\, October 16\, 2026 \nTime: 9:00am-1:00pm \nLocation: Labatt Hall\, King’s University College \nRegistration Deadline: Wednesday\, October 14\, 2026 \nRegistration is required.  \nWho Can Attend?\nThis event is open to: \n\nHigh school students attending with a teacher/staff supervisor\nUniversity and college students and other young adults ages 18-24\n\nPlease note that this event is only open to participants within the age groups listed above. \nRegistration\nHigh School Students do not register individually.
