Western acknowledges and celebrates Black History Month 2026, encouraging the campus and London community to listen, learn and participate in events.
This year, the theme for Black History Month is Black Joy, Glory and Reclamation. This theme invites us to celebrate moments of Black joy, recognize the glory of Black excellence and reclaim narratives that affirm Black identity. Reflect on how Black communities have shaped history and continue to advocate for a future rooted in equity, justice and belonging.
At Western, we’re directly collaborating with students and the community, ensuring Black stories, experiences and legacies are centred in our programming.
