Black Education Fund Scholarship Applications Now Open

The Black Education Fund (BEF) is committed to supporting Black students in achieving their educational goals through scholarships and bursaries that help reduce financial barriers to post-secondary education.
Successful recipients of the BEF Roster Scholarship will receive $1,000 per year for the duration of their post-secondary program, up to a maximum of four years.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a member of the Canadian Black community (Black person of discernible African ancestry who self-identifies as Black/African Canadian/African Caribbean/African American)
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Be accepted to a Canadian college, trade school, or university
- Submit an essay (maximum 750 words) describing why they are applying and how they would benefit from a BEF scholarship
Ineligible Applicants
Applicants are not eligible if they:
- Have previously received a Black Education Fund Roster Scholarship or a Parents of Black Children Canada Young, Gifted and Black Scholarship
- Are employed by Parents of Black Children Canada or are affiliated with a PBC employee, co-founder, or board member
